Seven Hills stabbing: Police were investigating after a man reported he was stabbed while sleeping in his tent near Seven Hills Park last week.

According to SPD and emergency radio updates, police and Seattle Fire were called to the area around 12:40 AM Thursday to the reported stabbing.

Seattle Fire says it treated a 26-year-old for a stab wound to the leg at nearby Sound Mental Health where he was able to find someone to call 911 for him. SFD transported the victim to the hospital in stable condition.

According to police, the victim said he was sleeping when somebody stabbed him in the leg through the fabric of his tent. The victim said he was alone at the time of the attack and did not see who stabbed him.

The incident comes as Seven Hills Park reopened in February to the public after a six-month closure over public safety concerns around the park and other small parks in the Capitol Hill area. The city says Seven Hills got a clean-up before its reopening and will be the site of new activation efforts including community music events and plans for a new human-canine workout trail.

Assault arrest: A man was taken into custody after a 911 caller reported the alleged sex-trafficker had punched a woman in the face Monday afternoon near 24th Ave and Newton. Police blocked traffic along 24th during the response as they commanded the suspect to exit his vehicle. Meanwhile, Seattle Fire was treating the victim for facial injuries. According to police radio updates on the just after 2 PM incident, the caller said the victim was struck in the face by the man who is her pimp.
