CHS Pics | Seahawks Super Bowl LX victory celebrations on Capitol Hill
A lot has changed in Seattle since 2014. 150,000 more people live here. Median rent was less than $1,400. And Donald Trump hadn’t even announced his run for president.
Twelve years later, the city still knows how to back a champion as sportsball fans spilled into the streets Sunday night and filled intersections from Pioneer Square to Pike/Pine with revelry.
The celebration will continue later this week with the Seahawks victory parade set for Wednesday running from Lumen Field to the Space Needle. Expect large crowds, traffic and transit weirdness, and a city celebrating 12 years’ worth of Seahawks enthusiasm on its busy streets. Streets around the 4th Ave parade route will be closed from 11 AM to 1:30 PM but expect crowds and celebrations before and after the festivities.
The city is estimating between 750,000 and one million fans will attend the parade along the route.
