A wood utility pole holding up wires for the electrified Metro Route 12 bus line fell onto 19th Ave E Friday night.
Seattle Fire closed the street to traffic between E Aloha and E Roy during the response.
Fire crews were cordoning off the area around the downed pole as the bus system wires appeared to be intact along the rest of the route.
The incident happened around 7:45 PM on a calm evening after a surprisingly blustery day around Seattle.
It was not immediately clear what brought the pole down.
There were no reported injuries and 19th Ave E remained closed while fire crews waited for Metro personnel to arrive to assess the situation.
