Seattle’s Black & Loud Fest is moving to Capitol Hill for its 2026 edition. The celebration of alternative Black artists will take over Capitol Hill’s Neumos, Barboza, and The Runaway on Saturday, August 29th, before heading to Portland’s The Den on August 30th.
Anchored by the ethos “Black Art Is Resistance,” senior producer Lara Lavi notes the festival aims to give Black musicians the flowers historically denied across genres. The move to Pike/Pine brings a multi-stage lineup to the neighborhood’s music core.
Billboard-charting artist Iniko headlines, alongside festival co-founder Cameron Lavi-Jones and Seattle alt-rock staples King Youngblood, who will debut songs from their upcoming album Outrun Your Shadow. New Orleans funk icon Cyril Neville featuring Omari Neville and The Fuel also returns.
The lineup spotlights regional talent, including Down North, Toxic Tears, Reji Marcs and the Black Smoke Project, a hip-hop cypher led by i//u, and an all-femme DJ lineup taking over The Runaway.
