HAPPENING NOW: West Seattle Junction Harvest Festival 2026!
11:09 AM: The costume parade is under way, kicking off the West Seattle Junction Harvest Festival!
Until 2 pm, The Junction is full of people enjoying performances, activities, and of course business/booth trick-or-treating. From the West Seattle Junction Association, which brings you the festival, here’s the schedule for today:

11:00 – 2:00P – Activity vendor booths and sidewalk trick-or-treating
11:00 – 12:30P – Chili cook-off [inside ArtsWest, $20/flight] and ends when they run out of chili
11:30 – 11:45P – RopeWorks performs in the All Ways Intersection
12:00 – 12:20P – Seattle Thrillers perform in All Ways Intersection
12:20 – 12:35P
Pet Costume Contest12:30P – 1:00P
Pie-eating contest /announce chili cook-off winner1:00 – 2:00P – Halloween House music
It’s all free fun except $20 for a 9-sample chili flight in the cookoff, benefiting the West Seattle Food Bank! And you can shop the West Seattle Farmers’ Market as always too, until 2 pm on California between Oregon and Alaska.
11:21 AM: Rain City RopeWorks, led by coach (and world champion) Rene Bibaud, is performing now.
And it’s chili time inside ArtsWest (4711 California SW, a few doors south of Walk All Ways). We’re close to the Seattle Thrillers‘ performance too!
11:44 AM: The sun is breaking through!
Back to the Chili Cookoff – participants this year are Elliott Bay, Three9 Lounge, Can Bar, Husky Deli, The Westy, Easy Street, The Neighborhood, Shadowland, Papa Tony’s Hot Sauce. The $20 donation for a flight gets you a chance to vote, and helps the West Seattle Food Bank help your neighbors. But only while it lasts – so get into ArtsWest before it’s too late!
12:11 PM: The Thrillers have performed – here’s how it started:
Currently they’re teaching festivalgoers have to do the Thriller dance – at roughly half-speed. Meantime, don’t forget to visit the activity booths on California south of Alaska – longtime WSB sponsors are among them, including Mode Music Studios and Mode Music and Performing Arts:
Westside School too:
Trick or treating is still happening too, while candy lasts. We’ve seen some awesome costumes, like the young lady who told us she is a “vampire mermaid.” The pie-eating contest is coming up soon – lots of questions about that.
