BIZNOTE: Our area will soon have one laundromat left, with West Seattle Coin Laundry closing
Bad week for customers of West Seattle cleanliness businesses. Back on Monday, we reported on the shutdown of Car Wash Palace at 35th/Graham; now a closing date is posted for West Seattle Coin Laundry in Admiral Junction. Here’s their sign explaining the plan to close November 15:
Online listings show the space has indeed been listed for lease since June. No new tenant yet, says leasing broker Jason Miller, who represents many of West Seattle’s highest-profile business spaces, nor for the “former Kumon” in the same block:
They’re both part of the California/Admiral building formerly owned by Wells Fargo, sold two years ago to Mercer Island-based commercial investment/development firm Henbart LLC, which leased the corner ex-bank space to Mud Bay.
P.S. When West Seattle Coin Laundry closes, that leaves West Seattle with Olympic Heights Laundry (7437 35th SW).
