A bicyclist struck by a recycling truck being driven through the intersection of 12th and Yesler was injured and rushed to Harborview late Monday afternoon.
The collision was reported just after 4:30 PM.
According to radio updates, the rider was being treated at the scene by Seattle Fire before being taken to the hospital. We do not yet have an update on the rider’s condition.
Seattle Police was investigating the incident and evaluating the driver of the reported Recology recycling vehicle at the scene.
Police closed the busy intersection to traffic in all directions during the response.
