Readers have been asking for a progress report on Royal Bagel, which we first told you about back in May. Proprietor Eric Brougham – a relative of the legendary Royal Brougham, hence the name – tells WSB that construction in the storefront at 6045 California SW is now under way, after he obtained a key permit recently. He is still hoping for a fall opening of his shop offering New York-style bagels.
