The Wells Fargo inside the Broadway Market is getting a modest overhaul.
Paperwork has been filed for around $116,000 in upgrades to the 2,500-square-foot banking and financial services center.
Permit applications show the improvements target the customer areas including the front lobby, waiting area, platform, and 24-hour ATM vestibule, while the back-of-house work rooms, offices, teller line, and restrooms will remain as is.
The bank has been a longtime part of the shopping center and remained as a neighboring BECU Credit Union moved in.
National developer Regency Centers acquired the QFC-anchored Broadway Market shopping center for $43 million in 2015. In 2019, Regency also acquired the Melrose Market development.
2026 began with a big acquisition in the Capitol Hill shopping center space as San Diego-based developer Tourmaline Capital acquired the Harvard Market complex — home to Broadway’s other QFC — for $14.2 million.
There is no public timeline for the Wells Fargo work. The center at 401 Broadway E remains open for business in the meantime.
