Capitol Hill and Central District projects line up for 2026 ‘Show Up, Seattle!’ Day of Service

The Seattle Department of Neighborhoods has announced the fifth annual “Show Up, Seattle!” Day of Service, scheduled for Saturday, September 26th. As the department marks 35 years of community partnerships, the citywide initiative aims to foster local resilience and neighborhood connection through collective volunteer action.

Prospective volunteers can browse neighborhood activities across the city, including park maintenance, community garden care, public space beautification, and nonprofit support.

Capitol Hill and Central District area projects include 20th Ave E Block Beautification, Zion Strong: A Community Clean and Green Day, Cass Turnbull Garden Work Party, 12th and Union Spruce Up!, and Leschi Elementary Beautification.

Projects accommodate all ages and skill levels, welcoming individual participants and groups of friends, families, or coworkers.

Community organizations, schools, businesses, and residents may also continue submitting proposals to host their own service projects. Volunteer sign-ups and project host registration details are available online at the City of Seattle’s official day of service portal.
