The weekend on 11th Ave will also mark an important milestone for Eleven:Eleven as the all-ages community venue launches a key fundraising drive. This weekend, the venue and street will be a busy — and the organizers say, safe — place for kids to enjoy some of the Block Party energy.
The On The Block / Eleven:Eleven festival will run all three days alongside CHBP with a lineup of live performances, local DJs, open mic sessions, open house gatherings, an overnight “Sanctuary Afterhours” on Saturday, and community resources like free hydration stations and affordable food and art kits.
Beyond celebrating local culture, the event serves as the launch for the “Root the Block” campaign, a community fundraising initiative aimed at closing a critical funding gap created when Washington State discontinued vital violence-prevention arts grants. CHS reported here in 2025 as the producers of the On the Block street fairs led by Carolyn Hitt of Blue Cone Studios, artist and organizer Julie Chang Schulman, Rialto “Rio” Estolas of Throwbacks Northwest, and Diana Adams of Vermillion set about creating Eleven:Eleven, envisioned as an all-ages community venue in a former nightclub space on the street.
