What will happen when a wolf and hyena open a shop in Seattle dedicated to furry artists and creators? E Pike will find out in 2027 when Furesh opens its new Capitol Hill store.

The costume design and fabrication studio has grown as a specialist in custom fursuit craftsmanship, with an emphasis on tailored bodysuits engineered for mobility, durability, and comfort, as well as standalone parts like paws and tails.

Now it is building out a furry den of creative retail along E Pike just east of 12th Ave. The grand opening is planned for January 7th, 2027.

Furesh.Shop is taking the E Pike space where men’s fashion boutique Sergius & Bacchus debuted in 2023. The store has moved a few blocks west and is now open in the transformed cafe space where Shikorina Bakeshop shuttered early in 2026.

The venture is led by Austin Solid, founder and lead maker of Furesh whose @aiko_thewolf has grown into a popular character of the Seattle scene. In addition to his collaborations with local costume fabricators and pattern designers to grow Furesh, Solid is also a dedicated auto mechanic and building the Sad Dog Club as an automotive lifestyle brand.

Ownership includes Miles Jonard who transplanted The Plant Store to lower Pike/Pine in 2024 and will bring retail experience to the new Furesh headquarters.

The 2027 opening will be part of an exciting duo of upcoming Pike/Pine retail debuts. CHS reported here on the expansion of Charlie’s Queer Books to Capitol Hill with a new store, cafe, and event space on E Pike.

E Pike’s coming Furesh project will create a new home for the furry-focused group that has grown with work on design commissions, refurbishments, minor repairs, and specialized suit cleaning and maintenance serving the Pacific Northwest cosplay and anthropomorphic art community.

Right now, their working materials are mostly drywall and painter’s tape as the furry crew gets their paws dirty busting out walls, ripping up carpet, and preparing the new space for its 2027 debut.

Furesh.Shop will open in 2027 at 1209 E Pike. Follow @furesh.shop for updates.
