Caring for Capitol Hill: Two neighborhood cleanups this weekend

Caring for Capitol Hill has been doing cleanups for long enough now, this kid is probably headlining Capitol Hill Block Party this year

Community volunteers will be cleaning up Capitol Hill with two work parties this weekend.

Community groups Friends of Broadway and Caring for Capitol Hill are meeting up for a Sunday afternoon neighborhood clean-up along Broadway. You can rally with them outside Espresso Vivace at 532 Broadway E at 2:30 PM for that gathering.

Saturday, the Caring for Capitol Hill folks will be out for a West Capitol Hill Cleanup:

Meet at 1740 Melrose Ave at 2pm. If you arrive after we’ve started just look for someone in a vest with a picker or rake and we’ll get you setup! We clean until around 4pm and then often grab coffee at one of our many awesome local shops. So far we have been incredibly fortunate with the weather, but anticipate rain for some of these winter cleanups so plan to check the weather beforehand.

CHS reported here a few years back on the Caring for Capitol Hill from organizer Matt Bechle.
