Seattle’s 2026 Pride added to a summer of celebration in the city.

In a year that marked 20 years since the Pride parade outgrew Broadway, city officials say some 300,000 people celebrated across Seattle and on Capitol Hill through the weekend including somewhere around 30,000 on Capitol Hill Saturday for the PrideFest street festival and events like the annual Dyke March.

Organizers say Sunday’s downtown parade included more than 250 community groups, floats, and organizations marching down 4th Ave. Community activist Deaunte Damper served as the 2026 Pride Parade Grand Marshal. Damper has been has heavily involved in grassroots community organizing and public safety initiatives in the Central District and across Seattle.

CHS gave you a glimpse of the weekend’s Capitol Hill Pride scenes including the PrideFest street festival on Broadway, the Dyke March, Prom Dress Rugby at Cal Anderson, and Friday night’s Trans Pride celebrations in Volunteer Park.
