When we followed up with SDOT after the most-recent repair closure of the West Seattle low bridge, they told us more closures were planned. Today, they announced the next one is two weeks away:
We will close the Spokane Street Swing Bridge (also known as the Low Bridge) to replace the center lock components that lock the swing spans together. During this time, people will not be able to drive across the bridge, but they will be able to bike/roll or walk across.
When? Between 7 am on Saturday (October 24) and 4 am on Monday (October 26)
There will be more repairs as we round out the year, so stay tuned for more updates soon.
The work that’s been done so far on the low bridge is recapped here.
