Death investigation in Jack Block Park vicinity

Thanks for the tip. A reader texted to say they were stopped in the Jack Block Park (2138 Harbor Avenue SW) area by Port of Seattle Police saying they were investigating a death in the water. We’ve checked around to find out more. SFD, which had an open call there, said they confirmed the death of a man around 40 years old. A port (Jack Block is a port-owned park) spokesperson tells us, “This is ongoing, but what I can share at this time is that Port of Seattle Police are investigating a death near the park, and that preliminary investigation does not appear to show signs of criminal activity.”
