Limited damage in Sunday night kitchen fire in 100-year-old Capitol Hill apartment building

Firefighters handled a blaze inside a 100-year-old Capitol Hill apartment building Sunday night.

Seattle Fire says it responded to the fire in a unit on the fourth floor of Belmont Ave’s Charbern Apartments building around 10:20 PM.

The eight-story building dates to 1925, according to the county.

SFD reported the fire in the unit’s kitchen was extinguished by 10:45 PM with limited damage.

There were no reported injuries.
