Man found stabbed to death in Melrose Ave apartment
The Seattle Police Department says they are investigating after a 39-year-old man was found stabbed to death inside a Capitol Hill apartment Tuesday afternoon:
On March 24, at 4:10 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a man dead in the 1600 block of Melrose Avenue. There, officers found a 39-year-old man inside of an apartment with multiple puncture wounds. The Seattle Fire Department arrived and pronounced the victim deceased. Police cordoned off the area until the Homicide and the Crime Scene Investigation Units responded to process the scene.
Seattle Fire and police were called to the address of the Melrose Court Apartments near Melrose and E Olive Way just after 4 PM where the investigation followed.
A Crime Scene Investigator vehicle was reported at the scene as detectives collected evidence into the night.
According to East Precinct radio updates, a friend discovered blood inside the second floor apartment and called 911.
SPD said Wednesday morning it does not have information about a suspect or the circumstances of the homicide at this time.
“Anyone with information is asked to call the violent crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000. Anonymous tips are accepted,” SPD writes.
