Months after surviving shooting outside E Pike club, hip hop artist gunned down in Burien

A fatal shooting in Burien has connections to E Pike where victim Marquise Johnson-Goldsmith had previously survived a shooting just months earlier.

Johnson-Goldsmith, a 26-year-old musical artist who performed as Godz Child, died early Sunday, October 25th after suffering a gunshot wound to the neck in a Burien parking lot.

In May, Johnson-Goldsmith survived being shot three times outside Capitol Hill nightclub Cultura in an incident that left three wounded and led to first-degree assault charges against a Tacoma teenager.

The victim’s mother is asking witnesses to come forward.

King County Sheriff detectives are investigating.
