Police were searching for the gunman and the victim after a shooting at Parnell’s Mini-Mart on 23rd Ave in the Central District.
An explosion of 15 to 20 shots were reported in the area of 23rd Ave and Dearborn just after 7 PM. According to emergency radio updates, arriving officers found blood in the store and evidence of the shooting up and down the block but could not immediate locate the victim who reportedly left the area by car. The victim was later located at Harborview where he was being treated for his injuries.
Police were searching for a White Chevy Tahoe-like vehicle reported leaving the scene but it was not clear if it was carrying the three suspects reportedly involved in the shooting.
The Seattle Police gang unit was called to the scene to aid in the investigation.
At least one nearby residence suffered bullet damage in the incident.
23rd Ave was closed to traffic during the response.
