Police investigate overnight fight and gunfire at Thomas and Broadway

A street fight and shots fired brought police to E Thomas just off Broadway overnight. There were no reported injuries from the gunfire.

Seattle Police were called to the area just before 2 AM to a report of men fighting and at least two shots fired in the 800 block of E Thomas. According to emergency radio updates, one man reportedly fired a handgun in the air during the fight.

Arriving officers located an adult male matching the suspect description and took him into custody without incident. A handgun was reportedly recovered during the arrest.

There were no injuries and no property damage was reported.

The shooting followed a busy week of shots fired incidents across East Precinct including two additional reports around Capitol Hill overnight in the 100 block of 13th Ave E and an early morning incident in Cal Anderson. Early Saturday around 6:30 AM. police were busy in the Central District after multiple rifle shots were fired from a silver sedan as it was driven on 25th Ave S near Jackson. Police located the vehicle but did not pursue as it fled the area, according to an East Precinct brief on the incident.
