
Arriving police to the just before 12:30 AM 911 calls found nobody injured but located bullet damage to vehicles and shell casings in the street near 15th and Howell.
Specialists from the Seattle Police Department’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit were called to the scene to collect evidence.
There were no reported arrests. 911 reports included details of a car speeding from the scene.
The area around Seven Hills has been a flashpoint for city officials trying to curb disorder and public safety issues around Capitol Hill’s smaller parks.
The park reopened in February after a six-month closure with a new public safety plan centered around better maintenance, more activities, and better coordination with police.
