We’re continuing to feature announcements of upcoming open houses for families looking around in advance of next school year. Explorer West Middle School (WSB sponsor) invites you to its next open house on November 15 – here’s the preview:
At Explorer West Middle School we know how much middle school matters. We prepare students for the future by building their self-confidence and independence. Our program gives middle schoolers the challenge and support they need to take risks, be curious, and find their voice.
Join us for an Open House on Sunday, November 15 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm and enjoy an afternoon of fun interactive activities for both students and adults. Meet our teachers, tour our school, and learn how Explorer West uniquely supports middle schoolers during these critical years of growth and discovery.
Why Explorer West?
Every Student, Every Subject: In addition to core classes, all Explorer West students take 3 years of music, art, drama, Latin, PE, and Outdoor Education. We know middle schoolers thrive when challenged to step outside their comfort zone.
33+ days in nature: Over three years, students build sustainability, teamwork, and leadership skills through camping, backpacking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
Small classes and robust student support. Our 8:1 student-teacher ratio, full-time school counselor, and Advisory program provide students with ongoing mentorship and opportunities for personal growth.
From the classroom to the backcountry, we help students discover what they’re capable of. We can’t wait to meet you!
