Quick response handles intense brush fire at Lowell Elementary
Firefighters acted quickly to knock down an intense brush fire before it threatened Capitol Hill’s Lowell Elementary School Tuesday night.
Seattle Fire reports its Engine 25 was dispatched to the 1000 block of E Roy to the reported brush fire just after 9:30 PM:
Flames were reported to be approximately 4-5 feet high and growing. The crew from Engine 25 arrive and got water on the fire. The fire was extinguished by 9:50 p.m. Firefighters remained on scene until approximately 10:15 p.m. then returned to service.
SFD’s dispatch information did not include details on what caused the blaze. We’re checking to see if there is any additional information from the response to share. Police were not called to the fire scene.
No injuries were reported.
