Broadway bar Corvus and Co. is celebrating ten years of cocktails and corvine good times on Capitol Hill.
Their “124 Full Moons” party planned for Sunday, May 31st will include food and drink specials, a video DJ, and “raptor encounters.”
Corvus is entering its next decade under relatively new ownership. CHS reported here in 2024 on the hopes and dreams for the North Broadway bar from first-time food and drink entrepreneurs Liv Cruzat and Nick Crowley.
Seattle hospitality runs in the family. Cruzat’s uncle owned Mama’s Mexican Kitchen, a Belltown mainstay for over 40 years.
In 2015, hospitality veterans Guymon and Berryman purchased the business behind The Byzantion as the Broadway Greek joint ended its 30-year run on Capitol Hill. They built out the new bar with a lot of work by their own hands — and maybe a little inspiration from Linda Derschang’s joints where Guymon had worked previously.
Originally to be called Spirit Animal to evoke a “slightly mystical” vibe, community pushback inspired a last-minute name shuffle.
In May of 2016, Corvus and Co. was born. The CHS Crow approved.
