Firefighters were able to limit damage in a Friday morning fire at a 1910-era apartment building under renovation at 17th and Thomas.
Seattle Fire was called to the Yonkers Apartments building just after 7 AM and reported a fire underway in the entryway to the building.
Crews began to battle the flames and limited damage to the structure’s exterior.
The building has been undergoing a long renovation following a 2022 sale and is not currently inhabited.
There were no reported injuries.
Seattle Fire said the incident was under investigation. A fire at a Capitol Hill triplex Monday night was found to have been an accident started by an unattended candle.
