See Team USA’s World Cup kickoff at a free neighborhood watch party in Capitol Hill’s Quality Flea Center

While the city waits for Seattle Stadium’s first time to shine on Monday — and Seattle U’s big role as an official FIFA practice facility in July — Friday’s World Cup kick-off action will go down on the big screen at Capitol Hill’s Quality Flea Center as the 15th Ave E Business Improvement Association hosts a community watch party of the USA vs. Paraguay match live from Southern California.

The community gathering will include the game on a big screen, a cash bar, and food trucks. You can also plan to grab takeout from nearby 15th Ave E bars and restaurants. Doors open at 5 PM for the planned 6 PM kickoff.

The event is free but you are encouraged to reserve a spot here.

If there’s no room, you probably won’t need to look far for a TV showing Team USA’s first game of the tournament at Capitol Hill restaurants, cafes, and bars.
