Suspect arrested, police recover still bloody knife in Broadway stabbing

A suspect was taken into custody after a reported stabbing in an assault incident on Broadway late Monday afternoon.

Seattle Police and Seattle Fire were called to the area of Broadway and Denny just after 4:30 PM. 911 callers reported a suspect had injured one victim and was punching others in the area.

Callers reported the suspect was carrying a bag and wearing distinctive green and orange shoes.

Seattle Fire was called to the scene to treat a man for knife wounds suffered in the attack and transport him to the hospital.

Police located the suspect nearby at Broadway and Pine and took him into custody, reportedly with blood from the attack on his face. A kitchen type knife was also recovered also covered in blood, according to East Precinct radio updates.

Seattle Fire was also called to the arrest scene to provide treatment of minor injuries the suspect suffered during the assault.
