Suspicious package prompts hazmat response at Capitol Hill’s Fire Station 25

A package left in front of Capitol Hill’s Fire Station 25 prompted a hazardous material response Sunday morning.

Seattle Fire dispatched its hazmat team to its E Pine at 14th Ave facility just after 7 AM Sunday “to investigate a package left in front of the building.”

“Crews conducted tests and monitored the area, determining it was safe to reoccupy the building,” a spokesperson tells CHS. “They collected the package and delivered it to law enforcement.”

CHS is checking with the Seattle Police Department to find out more about any criminal investigation related to the incident.

No injuries were reported.
