That photo is from what’s become an annual tradition – a mini-walk in West Seattle for people who aren’t going to the big Walk to End Alzheimer’s downtown but want to call attention to the cause. In case you haven’t seen already seen it in our West Seattle Event Calendar, here’s the invitation sent by Pat:
The West Seattle Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group will walk Saturday, October 3, for those who can’t make it to the larger walk at Seattle Center. Meeting at 10 a.m. at the water tower (meet on Othello at 37th, near Our Lady of Guadalupe). All are welcome…families, dogs, friends, loved ones, children … anyone with a connection to dementia. The course is 1 mile, walking at a casual, conversational pace. If you wish to support with a contribution, see the Alz.org website. Find us by alzwa—find a team. We are westseattlesupportgroup. Wear Purple if you can!
