5:23 PM: Thanks for the tips and photo. Police are blocking 60th SW north of Admiral Way because of a standoff with a woman they’re trying to get to surrender. The original classification of the incident that led to this is “threats.” More info soon.
5:40 PM: SPD tells us the woman they’re trying to take into custody is wanted for threatening a neighbor with a knife among other harassment accusations, and is in crisis.
6:07 PM: SWAT officers are being dispatched.
6:57 PM: Not resolved yet. Ongoing incident details have been moved to a tactical radio channel, which is encrypted (meaning it sounds like garble to anyone without official radio gear).
7:38 PM: No word of an arrest yet. A neighbor notes, in a comment below, a “flashbang-type” noise – there are several types of devices used in standoffs that would generate that type of sound.
8:26 PM: SPD tells us the suspect is in custody.
