‘Watch when I catch you’ — Two charged in October shooting that left 18-year-old dead at Broadway and Pike

Two men have been charged in the October shooting that left an 18-year-old dead on the sidewalk outside the Chipotle at Broadway and Pike as Seattle Police say their investigation utilizing surveillance video and cell phone data reveals a revenge hit over a burglary and a stolen sweatshirt.

Police say the victim, 18-year-old Jaydon Jameson, died in the sweatshirt and shoes a witness said he ripped off from an alleged pimp hellbent on payback.

Isaiah Kanehisa-Glenn, 29, and Jahlil Ray, 28, have been charged with first degree murder in the case. A 15-year-old female police say is a trafficking victim who served as a lookout during the deadly shooting has also been charged but remains at large.

The charges were first reported by KING 5. KING reports the victim’s family says their loved one was trying to help trafficking victims recover their belongings in the burglary.

Kanehisa-Glenn has been held since he was taken into custody that night though SPD did not announce his arrest at the time. The suspect has been held since the fall on charges in a separate case of second-degree human trafficking, first-degree promoting prostitution, second-degree assault, and commercial sexual abuse of a minor.

Kanehisa-Glenn is now held on $6 million bail.

Ray was taken into custody earlier this month and is held on $5 million bail.

Both men have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In the case, prosecutors and police describe video and and phone records that reveal Kanehisa-Glenn orchestrating a daylong manhunt after Jameson was spotted online wearing the same BAPE sweatshirt that was stolen in a burglary at the suspect’s apartment.

Information connected to a distinctive white Dodge Charger police say was owned by Kanehisa-Glenn and spotted near the murder scene was also key to the case.

Police say a witness, also an alleged juvenile trafficking victim, told them “she knew Jameson
and two others broke into Kanehisa-Glenn’s apartment that same night, looking for a safe they believed contained a large amount of cash.”

The witness, police say, “reported that Jameson could not locate the safe and ended up stealing some of Kanehisa-Glenn’s clothing, to include the distinctive Bape brand sweatshirt.”

Police say Kanehisa-Glenn messaged Jameson on Instagram: “Oth (on the hood), you fucked up.”

“Watch when I catch you.”

Police say phone records show Kanehisa-Glenn mounting a citywide search for Jameson with contacts tracking the 18-year-old to Capitol Hill.

Security video revealed how the Thursday night, October 9th murder went down outside the Chipotle with police saying it was Kanehisa-Glenn who emptied his gun into Jameson:

At the time, CHS reported at least one additional victim in the shooting. SPD’s report reveals two people in addition to Jameson were hit in the volley of bullets. Both men were passersby and both were fortunate to suffer only non-life-threatening injuries despite being in the middle of the melee.

The charges come after a burst of gun violence around Pike/Pine and Broadway to end 2025 and added to concerns around public safety at the troubled corner of Broadway and Pike.

In November, the suspect in a September deadly shooting a few blocks away at 10th and Pike was charged with with murder in the second degree in a case police say involved a personal beef.

Meanwhile, the first deadly shooting of 2026 on Capitol Hill came last week at Pine and Belmont. The suspect in that case was taken into custody immediately but has not yet been charged.

As for Kanehisa-Glenn and Ray, prosecutors say both men have a criminal history with multiple felony convictions.
