Though we don’t hear about it nearly as often any more, catalytic-converter theft is still happening. We got this report from AT:
Just wanted to mention that our 2006 Honda Element had its catalytic converter stolen on (I believe) Friday, October 2. It was parked right on Alaska St between 45th and 44th. A police report was filed when we discovered the theft on Sunday.
This is just anecdotal, but I beleive that others in the area were hit that same night because I’ve been hearing vehicles around the Junction of late that have that telltale unmuffled roar.
Elements were a popular target back in the day – ours was among those hit during a wave in 2021.
