Wal died from multiple gunshot wounds, and the Medical Examiner officially ruled the death of the Seattle man a homicide.
CHS reported here as Seattle Police and Seattle Fire medics responded just after 8:00 PM Tuesday to 911 reports of a shooting victim found inside the address of the M Street Apartments in the 900 block of 8th Ave.
According to East Precinct radio updates, Wal was found unresponsive and badly injured in a unit of the building. Arriving officers began CPR until Seattle Fire arrived but the victim was declared dead at the scene.
Officers cordoned off the area around 8th Ave and Madison, canvassing the building and surrounding blocks for witnesses and surveillance footage.
No arrests have been announced and the Seattle Police Department Homicide Unit continues to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
Seattle has recorded 22 homicides so far in 2026.
